Hi my name is Aga & I love bread, potatoes, chips and other carbs
and still struggle to give them all up!
I’m not vegetarian and basically was raised on potatoes & meat.
My weight loss / gain struggle began when I was 17 years old. I used be able to eat anything I liked and not really worry about it. That changed for me after I moved to USA, in the first few months I easily gained 10 lbs. by just regular eating which later I tried to loose by just starving myself.
Since that time in my life I was always struggling with loosing weight. Every time I lost few pounds I gained the same or more right back.
In November 2008 I joined a local gym, started working out and decided to make a life-style change. So far I have lost about only 15 lbs.
However my mom (who is diabetic) lost 45!!! And I’m very happy for her and proud of her! She rocks my “old” Express jeans, now!
My rules:
* I do not drink soda or juice and drink lots of water (unless it’s an alcohol beverage).
* I eat less take out and fast food.
* I prepare my own lunch to take to work.
* Try to eat more veggies & fruits.
* Exercise as often as possible.
Although I would like to be a runner I’m not one…………… yet.
